Join Amy and Natalie for an epic week deep in Tanzania’s cultural heartland.

Sunrise yoga, lively markets, arts & crafts, hiking, learn traditional drumming & dancing, fresh-cooked food, barbecues, wine & cocktails around the fire – all based at our stunning boutique eco-lodge.

Then venture off on safari to get up close to the animals in one of Africa’s wildest and most spectacular National Parks.

Saturday

Welcome to Origins!

Amy (that’s me 🙂) will be waiting to greet you at Iringa Airport for the beautiful 20-minute chauffeur drive up to your home for the week.

After a refreshing drink tour of the retreat facilities, you’ll have time to settle into your beautiful surroundings and enjoy some welcome goodies in your room.

We’ll enjoy a delicious, organic, locally sourced welcome dinner prepared by our private chef watching the sun set over the mountain skyline from our boujee-rustic dining terrace.

Let’s get to know each other. Have a drink at the bar, or make use of the woodland wood fire sauna.

Sunday

Explore Iringa…

We will start the day slowly with a beautiful breakfast made by Chef Diana. Fresh, local, and full of love.

Meet Mdoe, our wonderful Environment Manager, who will welcome you into his hometown and share it with you the way only a local can.

Wander welcoming streets, meet friendly faces, explore markets filled with colour and stories, and discover beautiful handmade treasures crafted by local artisans.

Learn the cultures of the Maasai and Hehe tribes, then gather fresh ingredients with Chef Diana to later be brought together into a heartfelt dinner.

Savour a delightful tapas style lunch with flavours of Africa, paired with local wines.

Sunset Yoga & Healing: Move, breathe, and reconnect as the sun sets over Iringa. A gentle yoga flow with sound healing and aromatherapy.

Gather around the fire for a cosy evening under the stars, enjoying toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate.

Monday

Girls’ Self-Care Day…

We’ll start with a sunrise hike led by our Maasai guide, Singilo. Walking right from the retreat, we follow the ridges through the nature reserve full of wild monkeys and colourful lizards, with epic views across the mountain skyline.

Brunch Club: A leisurely brunch with fresh juices, mocktails or mimosas, great food, and time to connect.

You’ll get to design and make your own colourful beaded jewellery inspired by African artistry, to leave with a keepsake that’s as unique as you are.

After a nourishing lunch we’ll have an afternoon with the wood-fired sauna and waterfall, herbal teas, face masks, hammock reading, journaling, and time to simply slow down and recharge

End the day with another delicious dinner from Chef Diana then wind down under the Tanzanian sky with a cosy girls movie night and traditionally-made popcorn.

Tuesday

Canvas & Cocktails…

Begin the morning with a yoga flow on the retreat’s highest point, the deck. 360° views, the sounds of nature, and prehistoric boulders. A peaceful space to move, breathe, and connect with nature.

Build your own smoothie bowl for breakfast, before we meet local artist Frank Chillo to prepare our canvases with a guided sketch, learning simple techniques before bringing our visions to life.

After a picnic lunch on the retreat, we’ll paint and sip under Frank’s expert guidance. No experience needed, just good vibes, laughter, and a one of a kind masterpiece to take home.

We’ll get dressed up for the night to head to Mama Iringa, a hidden Italian gem inside an old convent that brings a little taste of Italy in the heart of Tanzania, then mingle with the locals at a lively terrace bar en route back to the retreat.

Ruaha National Park Safari

Wednesday

Safari Day!

We’ll start early in 4x4s from the retreat with expert safari guide, Isaac, heading into the dramatic wilderness of Ruaha National Park.

Ruaha is part of the biggest protected wilderness in East Africa. We’ll spot elephants, lions, hippos, giraffes and so much more in their true natural state – without the tourist crowds of the Serengeti.

It’s a full day in the park, including delicious picnic lunch by the river and a chance for those once-in-a-lifetime golden hour safari pictures with Africa’s most impressive wildlife all around you.

The safari jeeps will deliver us to the Bush Camp in time for dinner under the stars and a chance to reflect on this magical day with new friends.

There’s nothing quite like falling asleep to the sound of lions roaring in the African night, safe in your safari accommodation with the reassuring presence of Maasai guards protecting the camp.

Authentic Africa Maasai Tribe

Thursday

Authentic Africa…

There’s a leisurely start to soak up more sights and sounds of the bush from your bed and private balcony, before a magnificent poolside breakfast and chance for a dip or morning yoga flow.

Then it’s back into our 4x4s bound for Origins, stopping on the way to visit a traditional Maasai village community.

Tribal Drumming & Traditional Dancing: We will join a local troupe as they share the vibrant rhythms of Tanzania through live drumming, traditional dancing, and storytelling. Feel the energy of the music, learn their cultural traditions, and take part in an unforgettable celebration of Tanzanian heritage.

End your journey with a traditional African BBQ, great food, and lasting memories shared around the fire, along with some final group photos.
